(Charter 97) Police have detained a 38-year-old woman who planned to carry out a terrorist attack and planted an improvised explosive device in the center of Warsaw on Independence Day, celebrated on November 11. The detainee was interested in the Islamic State and the situation in the Middle East, TVP reports.

The operational actions of employees of the Warsaw 1st District Police Department led to the identification of a woman who, on November 10-11, 2023, at about 2 am, planted an improvised explosive device and set it on fire on one of the streets of the center of Warsaw. The device, filled with gas cylinders, nails and broken glass, could pose a serious threat to the health and lives of many people.
