(Brussels Times) Belgium is set to remain at threat level 3 for some time following the Brussels attack and ongoing Israel-Hamas war, according to Gert Vercauteren, the head of OCAD, the agency responsible for terror threat analysis.
Since the attack in Brussels, where two Swedes were killed, threat level 3 has been maintained in our country. This level denotes a “serious” threat, with the Israel-Hamas war as a significant factor.
Addressing the emotional impact and risks
According to Gert Vercauteren, the conflict is an “emotional trigger event” with a high emotional impact on the population.
