(Brussels Times) French terrorist Salah Abdeslam — who is currently serving a life sentence for his role in the 2015 Paris terror attacks — has married a woman he has never met, French media has reported.
According to RTL France, Abdeslam, 33, married his new wife last summer in a religious ceremony conducted entirely by telephone from Fleury-Mérogis prison, near Paris. It is believed that the woman was personally chosen by Abdeslam’s 73-year-old father, Abderrahmane.
The woman’s name has not been reported, although it is believed to be known to French intelligence services, who monitor all of Abdeslam’s communications.
