Germany charges Syrian man with ISIS membership, war crimes, crimes against humanity 'The accused is sufficiently suspected of membership in a foreign terrorist organization,' the public prosecutor general stated.

(Jerusalem Post) Germany has filed charges against a Syrian national on allegations of ISIS membership, Germany’s public prosecutor general at the Federal Court of Justice stated on Friday.

“The accused is sufficiently suspected of membership in a foreign terrorist organization,” the public prosecutor general stated. “In this context, he is also accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity.”

The Syrian national, identified as Ahmad AA, was initially arrested in January of this year and remains in custody, the public prosecutor general noted.

According to the statement, he joined ISIS in [2014].
