In collaboration with Morocco, Spain arrests two individuals on terrorism-related charges in Lleida

(Yabiladi) The Spanish National Police announced on Monday, August 18, the successful arrest of two individuals suspected of having ties to jihadist terrorism in Vallfogona de Balaguer (Lleida). This operation was conducted in close collaboration with Moroccan authorities.

According to “Europa Press,” citing security sources, the detainees are two young men, aged 24 and 26. They face charges related to self-radicalization through extremist propaganda, active involvement in terrorist indoctrination, and participation in related activities.

The investigation commenced a year and a half ago after specialized agencies identified an individual exhibiting intensive online activity linked to ISIS-affiliated websites.
