Italian arrested for accessing jihadist websites Cops seize files for weapons construction in FBI probe

(ANSA) A 24-year-old Italian without a criminal record was arrested Monday on suspicion of accessing jihadist websites, police said.

Thousands of files regarding manuals for the construction of weapons and explosive devices as well as other material proving his progressive radicalization were seized from the man who was arrested by Perugia police coordinated by the local prosecutor’s office.

The young man was identified as part of a collaboration with the FBI that involved IP addresses of individuals who accessed sites believed to be linked to jihadist organizations, dedicated to propaganda and proselytism, recruitment and teaching techniques for the packaging of explosive devices.
