(GB News) A teacher has been banned from his profession for life after he “mocked Islam” at a school in Dorset.

Alex Lloyd was the head of sixth form at the Bishop of Winchester Academy in Bournemouth when he made comments during a lesson about “honour killings.”

The science teacher admitted to telling a Muslim student “she would have been killed” for her outfit had she been in Iran.

He told another to “pay attention” because the topic was particularly relevant in “their culture.”

“Mocking” the pupils’ religion, the 51-year-old sarcastically referred to Islam as the “religion of peace” during the discussion.
