(AFP) A teenager suspected of stabbing a teacher at a college in western Germany attacked another man on the same day and acted out of an “Islamist jihadist ideology,” prosecutors said Friday.
The 17-year-old Kosovar suspect, identified by prosecutors as Erjon S., was arrested after the stabbing at the college on September 5.
Prosecutors say he “developed a plan to enter the jihad against supposed unbelievers and to die as a martyr.”
They allege that after he stabbed the 45-year-old teacher, whom he knew, he stabbed a stranger on the street in the back.
Both victims survived but suffered serious injuries.
