(Yabiladi) Italian police arrested a 24-year-old Moroccan citizen at Malpensa Airport as he attempted to travel to Bahrain. The arrest was carried out by border police in coordination with the Varese Police Command, following confirmation that the individual was wanted by French authorities in connection with a jihadist terrorism investigation.
The man, previously detained in France for offenses related to extremism, had violated judicial restrictions imposed by the French authorities and tried to leave the country undetected. However, a routine data check through immigration control systems enabled security personnel to identify him just moments before the plane’s departure.
