Teen arrested in Poland suspected of a mass attack plot supported Islamic terror, say prosecutors

(TVP) A 17-year-old from the southeastern Podkarpackie province who promoted Islamic terror online has been charged with preparing a mass attack, say prosecutors.

The youth is charged with preparing a mass attack against a group of people based on their religious or national affiliation to implement or support the policies of the Islamic State (also known as ISIS) and radical jihad movements, the spokesperson for the Tarnobrzeg Prosecutor’s Office, Andrzej Dubiel, said on Friday.

He was also detained on suspicion of praising and promoting jihad and armed actions by Islamists on the internet, and inciting crimes and hatred based on national and religious differences.
