WLBT finds watchlisted Iranian national arrested in Mississippi tied to past assault allegations Man labeled ‘suspected terrorist’ by DHS owned property in Madison County since 2013

(WLBT) An Iranian man described as a suspected terrorist by federal authorities had been under scrutiny in Texas years earlier for allegedly attacking his wife, according to court records obtained exclusively by 3 On Your Side.

Moreover, Yousef Mehridehno’s designation as a terrorist by the U.S. government happened while he had been living quietly in Madison County, between Gluckstadt and Madison.

Public records on Mehridehno are scarce, suggesting he may have deliberately avoided attention.

Court documents reviewed by WLBT show Mehridehno allegedly attacked his wife in 2007, while the two lived in Houston, Texas.

Investigators allege Mehridehno hit his wife, burned her, and tried to cut her with a knife.
