(Hill) Six people were injured Sunday in an attack near a peaceful pro-Israel gathering in Boulder, Colo. The FBI and local law enforcement are investigating it as an act of terrorism.
A suspect in custody used a “makeshift flamethrower” and incendiary devices, Mark Michalek, FBI special agent in charge, said at an evening press briefing. The suspect, identified as Mohamed Soliman, 45, “was heard to yell ‘free Palestine,’ during the attack,” Michalek said.
The victims, attending a regular weekly event, ranged in age from 67 to 88 and all are hospitalized, with two people having been airlifted to a burn unit.
Boulder Police Chief Stephen Redfearn said authorities believe they have the sole suspect in the incident.
