Trump signs order to combat antisemitism on campuses, vows action against ‘Hamas sympathizers’

(Hill) President Trump signed an executive order Wednesday seeking to fight antisemitism on college campuses and vowing action against “Hamas sympathizers” among student populations.

Antisemitism has spiked on campuses after Hamas’s Oct. 7, 2023, attack on Israel, and pro-Palestinian protests roiled campuses last spring, with more than 2,000 arrests at universities across the country.

Trump is seeking to direct federal resources toward combating antisemitism on campuses and calling for all federal executive agencies to report criminal and civil actions that can be used to fight antisemitism to the White House within 60 days.
