(Morocco World News) The Spanish National Police, in collaboration with Morocco’s Directorate General for Territorial Surveillance (DGST), arrested two individuals in northern Spain suspected of being linked to the terrorist organization Daesh.

The arrests took place on Friday in the towns of Itsasondo, located in the Guipúzcoa region, and Avilés, in Asturias, as part of a counter-terrorism operation.

The suspects are accused of indoctrination, disseminating terrorist propaganda, and inciting violence, according to a statement from the Spanish police.

The investigation revealed that both individuals had been under surveillance since early this year due to their activities on social media, where they allegedly shared pro-Daesh messages and encouraged violent acts.
