German interior minister dismayed by celebration of Iranian attacks

(DPA) German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser expressed her dismay on Wednesday over reports that some people in Germany had celebrated Iran’s missile attack on Israel.

Faeser said the scenes made her sad and angry. Cheers had reportedly broken out at a pro-Palestinian demonstration in one neighbourhood of Berlin on Tuesday evening.

Faeser said that there had also been spontaneous demonstrations in the small western city of Bonn.

She described the situation in the Middle East as extremely dangerous and said that Iran’s missile attacks could not be justified by anything.
