A Moroccan expelled from Italy for planning a terrorist attack from his prison cell

(Yabiladi) A 40-year-old Moroccan who lived in Italy was expelled from the territory for planning a terrorist attack, Italian-language daily newspaper Il Giornale reported on Wednesday.

The man in question has reportedly been radicalized while detained in prison. The Italian Interior Ministry announced in a statement that the Moroccan national “became radicalized while serving his sentence and he had expressed his intention to sacrifice himself to ‘punish infidels,’” the same source added.
