UK Court of Appeal to hear Shamima Begum’s case against loss of citizenship The 24-year-old was stripped of her UK citizenship on national security grounds

(National-UAE) The Court of Appeal will hear Shamima Begum’s legal fight over the decision to deprive her of her British citizenship next week.

The 24-year-old was stripped of her citizenship on national security grounds at the Special Immigration Appeals Commission, which she then appealed and lost.

Following the decision, Ms Begum’s lawyers said they would be challenging the ruling and that the legal battle was “nowhere near over.”
