(Delaware Daily Voice) A nail salon employee is recovering from a gunshot wound following a robbery, by some men in unusual disguises, the Philadelphia Police Department announced on Tuesday, Sept. 26.
Two black men dressed in abayas and hijabs (that were pulled up over their faces like niqabs) entered the Happy Family Nail Salon and Spa located at 1100 W. Girard Avenue around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23, according to Philadelphia police. About three hours later, the same men, still dressed as Muslim women, [robbed] Nails In The City at 2401 Aramingo Ave.
In both cases, all of the salons’ employees were held at gunpoint as the men took their wallets and IDs, the police explained.
