(News.com.au) A prominent Muslim preacher has come under fire for a raft of highly offensive social media posts about Australia’s gay community.

Mohamed Shaar, who works as a natural healer and authorised marriage celebrant at Sydney’s Ruqyah Centre in south-western Sydney, regularly posts about gay people on his public account.

In recent posts he lambasted gay people as “filthy” and told his followers that they will be condemned to hell.

A post on February 24 warned Muslims against working with Uber after they advertised an “Uber Pride Ride.”

Another time he chastised Canterbury-Bankstown libraries for hosting Rainbow Story Time.
