(ANSA) Italian police on Tuesday arrested three Tunisian nationals resident in Italy for favouring clandestine immigration in a case linked to Anis Amri, a Tunisian domestic terrorist who drove a truck through a Christmas market in Berlin in December 2016, killing 12 people and wounding dozens more.
The three have been charged with being part of a criminal gang that favoured clandestine immigration, with a transnational projection.
Police searched the premises of over 40 people across Italy in the operation.
