3 Tunisians arrested for clandestine immigration Case linked to 2016 Berlin Xmas market killer Anis Amri

(ANSA) Italian police on Tuesday arrested three Tunisian nationals resident in Italy for favouring clandestine immigration in a case linked to Anis Amri, a Tunisian domestic terrorist who drove a truck through a Christmas market in Berlin in December 2016, killing 12 people and wounding dozens more.

The three have been charged with being part of a criminal gang that favoured clandestine immigration, with a transnational projection.

Police searched the premises of over 40 people across Italy in the operation.
