North York man arrested on U.S. charges of using bitcoin, GoFundMe to raise money for ISIS Khalilullah Yousuf, 34, allegedly raised and transferred money to a 'facilitator' for the Islamic State and was arrested by Canadian police Wednesday.

(Toronto Star) Using aliases and social-media fronts, Khalilullah Yousuf was allegedly the driving force behind fundraising efforts to help the desperate and downtrodden Palestinians of the Gaza Strip.

But FBI investigators allege the 34-year-old North York man, who was arrested Wednesday, used the thousands of dollars raised not for humanitarian aid but to help purchase weapons and ammunition for the Islamic State terror group.

He and three American citizens — Mohammad David Hashimi, 35, Abdullah At Taqi, 23, and Seema Rahman, 25 — are facing charges of conspiring to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization.
