(VRT) Six years after the events the Brussels attacks have claimed a further victim. Shanti De Corte, aged 23, underwent euthanasia, because of the insufferable mental pain she was in. At the time the bombs exploded at Brussels Airport Shanti was standing with other members of her class in departures ready to fly out to Italy.
Following the attacks the girl continued to suffer from serious panic and anxiety attacks. She failed to overcome the distress and supported by members of her family she requested euthanasia.
Shanti was 17 when terrorists claimed 32 lives as a result of bomb attacks at Brussels Airport and the Maalbeek metro station.
