Germany’s Central Muslims Council strips Muslim Brotherhood figure Ibrahim Zayat of posts: reports

(Egypt Today) The Central Council of Muslims in Germany (ZMD) stripped on Sunday renowned global Muslim Brotherhood figure Ibrahim El-Zayat, brother-in-law of the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood group in Turkey, of his posts in the center, according to media reports.

This comes as the council, a renowned Islamic organization with tens of thousands of Muslim members of different nationalities, held its elections yesterday amid major challenges facing Muslims in Germany, according to the reports.

Zayat is one of the prominent global European figures in the international organization of the Muslim [Brotherhood]. Zayat is wanted by the Egyptian government to serve a 10-year prison sentence, according to the reports.
