Convicted Turku terror attacker faces charges for assaulting prison guards Abderrahman Bouanane used violence in order to prevent prison officials from performing their duties, according to the charges.

(Yle) Abderrahman Bouanane, who was sentenced to life imprisonment for the Turku terrorist attack in 2017, is facing charges of assaulting guards in a Turku prison.

The indictment alleges that in October 2020, while carrying out his 12-15-year sentence, Bouanane took a bite out of a prison guard’s finger and kicked another.

According to the charges, Bouanane used violence in order to prevent prison officials from performing their duties.

No written response has been issued to indicate whether the accused admits or denies the charges.
