Alameddine associates watched Islamic State videos, police allege

(Sydney Morning Herald) Members of the Alameddine crime network downloaded and watched Islamic State videos, according to police information tendered to court which also claim members involved in the group’s “dial-a-dealer” operation were part of a sub-gang calling themselves “Ready 4 War.”

Three alleged offenders have been released a day after they were dramatically arrested along with 15 others alleged to be part of the notorious crime network, which senior police said had now been smashed.

Wessam El Jajieh, Adam Achrafi and Adam Alameddine were all granted bail at Burwood Local Court on Wednesday, after their lawyers successfully argued they do not pose a threat to the public and pointed to weaknesses in the police case.
