(Baltic Times) The migrant suspected of having had ties with terrorists has been already sent out of Lithuania, Interior Minister Agne Bilotaite has confirmed.
“Yes, that person is definitely no longer in the Republic of Lithuania,” she told ministers on Tuesday.
In her words, responsible institutions continue to closely monitor the situation and exchange information with other countries and “our institutions are taking necessary action they need to take.”
Earlier this week, Polish institutions said dozens of migrants detained by Polish officers had evidence linking them with extremist activity, including ties with the Taliban and the Islamic State. Some of them also used to live in Russia.
