Seattle man accused of trying to join ISIS, planning attack on Seattle Pride parade

(KOMO) A Seattle man was arrested at Sea-Tac International Airport as he was about to travel to join ISIS in order to engage in violent acts of terrorism in the Middle East or the U.S., federal officials said.

The suspect, identified as Elvin Hunter Bgorn Williams, 20, of Seattle, was about to board an international flight Friday when he was arrested, court documents say.

His arrest follows a lengthy federal investigation into his attempts to … join ISIS, a designated foreign terrorist organization responsible for untold number of deaths, suffering, enslavement and torture in their efforts to form an Islamic State.

“As alleged, Williams was determined to support ISIS either by traveling overseas to join and fight with the terrorist organization, or by conducting an attack here in the United States,” said Assistant Attorney General John C. Demers. “The FBI was just as determined to stop him.”
