More than two-thirds of jihadists arrested in Spain in 2020 are Moroccan

(Yabiladi) The Spanish government said this week that 62% of the 37 jihadists arrested in 2020 by the security forces were citizens of Moroccan origin. According to Europa Press, the government explained, responding to a question by Vox, that the … list includes 23 Moroccans, six Spanish national[s], five Algerians, two Syrians and one from Egypt.

The government’s response indicates that four of the 37 people did not have documents that would allow them to be in the Schengen territory.

Indeed, in several questions addressed to the government, the far-right party questioned the cabinet of Pedro Sanchez on “terrorists infiltrated through migratory networks on the arrival routes in Spain.”
