(NCA NewsWire) The jailed terror leader who plotted to bomb Australian landmarks plans to keep preaching if released from jail, a court has been told.

Abdul Nacer Benbrika has spent the past 15 years behind bars but lawyers for the Australian government argue he’s still a risk of committing more attacks and want him to spend an extra three years in prison.

Forensic psychologist Dr Michael Davis labelled Benbrika as “ego-centred” and a “narcissist” in the Supreme Court of Victoria on Tuesday.

“He came across as quite grandiose and narcissistic,” Dr Davis said.

[The] psychologist also said the self-described sheik told him his religion was the most important thing in his life.
