(Calgary Herald) Calgary terrorism suspect Jamal Taan Borhot must wait until next week to learn whether he’ll be freed from custody while his case makes its way through the courts.
Provincial court Judge Catherine Skene on Wednesday reserved her decision after hearing submissions from Borhot’s lawyer, David Chow, on why he should be released on bail.
Crown prosecutor Kent Brown argued Borhot should remain behind bars pending trial.
Skene imposed a publication ban on the submissions at the request of Chow.
Borhot, 30, was arrested and charged last week with three counts of participating in the activities of a terrorist group.
