Ossoff received thousands from Al Jazeera media in past two years

(Free Beacon) Georgia Democratic Senate candidate Jon Ossoff received at least $5,000 from the Qatari-backed Al Jazeera network over the past two years, according to an updated personal financial disclosure.

The money was for his work as CEO of Insight TWI, a London-based producer of investigative journalism documentaries. Ossoff did not include the payment on his initial 2020 disclosure on May 15, and his campaign did not respond to a request for comment.

Al Jazeera has courted controversy since its inception in the 1990s. It was criticized as a “mouthpiece for terrorists” when it aired flattering footage of Osama bin Laden in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks, and it has glorified Palestinian terrorism. Lawmakers have called it an unregistered lobbyist for the Qatari government that should be registered as a foreign agent, similar to foreign news outlets controlled by Russia and China.
