Council on American-Islamic Relations calls for Twitter to suspend president’s account

(WZTV) The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is calling on Twitter to suspend President Donald Trump’s Twitter account and for the Minnesota National Guard to ignore any orders of violence against protesters.

CAIR is the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization. Their response comes after President Trump tweeted on Thursday the military could assume control of the situation in Minneapolis, adding “when the looting starts, the shooting starts.”

The tweet was hidden by Twitter for violating rules about “glorifying violence” but is still accessible for reading.
