(Dutch News) Justice minister Ferd Grapperhaus has told reporters it is extremely disappointing that Turkey has sent two ISIS women back to the Netherlands.
The two women were picked up at Schiphol airport on Tuesday after being deported by Ankara. Grapperhaus said he had tried to persuade Turkey not to send the women back, but to no avail.
One of the women, who has two children aged three and four, has been stripped of her Dutch nationality and faces deportation to Morocco.
Both women remain in custody and face prosecution.
Sources told the broadcaster the women are 25-year-old Xaviera S from Apeldoorn and 23-year-old Fatimah H from Tilburg, but this has not been confirmed.
