(NY Daily News) FBI agents busted a 19-year-old ISIS wannabe on charges he planned a terrorist knife attack in Queens, law enforcement sources told the Daily News.
Awais Chudhary of East Elmhurst boasted in an online chat room that he wanted to carry out an attack in the name of ISIS, and tried to buy a “tactical knife” through an undercover agent, law enforcement sources said.
Chudhary also texted undercover agents about his plans. FBI agents arrested the teen when he went to pick up the knife, sources said.
Federal authorities haven’t said where in Queens Chudhary allegedly planned to carry out the attack.
He’s expected to be arraigned Friday in Brooklyn Federal Court.
