FBI needs help identifying ‘Springtime Suspect’ in Alief bank robbery

(Houston Chronicle) The FBI is asking the public for help in identifying and locating a man who robbed an Alief bank in March while dressed as a female.

The man, dubbed the “Springtime Suspect,” is accused of robbing the IBC Bank, at 8203 South Kirkwood Road, on March 25, according to authorities.

There’s a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to identification and arrest of the man. Authorities describe him as a black male in his late 30s or early 40s, about 6 feet tall with a thin to medium build.

He entered the bank that Monday morning wearing a floral patterned niqab, a long maroon dress, a pink cardigan and large glasses, according to authorities.
