(Daily Beast) The Council on American-Islamic Relations, CAIR, has condemned the life-threatening tweet from President Trump against Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN).
CAIR, the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, called on Democratic and Republican leadership to publicly show support of Omar.
On Friday, Trump tweeted: “Never Forget!” accompanied by an edited video of the horrific acts of September 11th, 2001, over a sound bite of Omar saying, “some people did something.”
The quote, taken from an event last month where Omar spoke about the establishment of CAIR after 9/11, and [its] importance, has made the freshman congresswoman the target of online vitriol and death threats.
