Springfield PNC bank robbed

(Springfield Sun) A person dressed in all black and a burqa robbed the PNC bank, 1316 Bethlehem Pike, Monday, according to Springfield police.

The robber, believed to be a male but possibly a female, entered the bank at 5 p.m. April 8, displayed a silver pistol and demanded money, police said. After receiving cash, the robber fled on foot, police said.

A similar robbery occurred around 2 p.m. April 4 at the Wells Fargo bank in the 2500 block of Huntingdon Pike in Lower Moreland, police said. In that incident, the robber, who displayed a weapon, was described as a thin, black male, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, wearing all black and a burqa, police said.
