(Washington Examiner) Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., quietly deleted at least three tweets that were widely criticized as being anti-Semitic, journalists noticed this week.
The freshman congresswoman was condemned by Republicans and members of her own party earlier this month for two tweets implying lawmakers only support Israel for the political donations.
Another tweet, from 2012, saying “Israel has hypnotized the world,” was also deleted.
Under pressure from leadership in her own party, Omar apologized on Feb. 11 for the tweets, but cast the American Israel Public Affairs Committee’s effort to lobby Congress as “problematic.”
