Convicted Canadian Tire attacker tells court she wants to ‘withdraw’ her agreement with the facts

(Toronto Star) A woman convicted of using a golf club and knife to attack Canadian Tire employees in support of terror group Daesh has declared she wants to “withdraw” her agreement with the facts presented to the jury in a recent and unusual trial.

“I would like to clarify that I am not admitting to the facts for religious reasons,” Rehab Dughmosh said during a brief Friday appearance to determine how her sentencing hearing should proceed.

However, when asked by Superior Court Justice Maureen Forestell whether she disputed any of the facts or whether her agreement to the facts had been false, Dughmosh said she was not disputing the facts.
