(Al-Arabiya) Rape-accused Islamic scholar Tariq Ramadan’s request for release has been rejected by a French court for a third time after new evidence against his defense came to light, according to information revealed by the Muslim Post and confirmed by AFP.
The investigating judges refused the request for a third time after an IT expert presented new evidence against Ramadan.
The version of events presented by the Swiss theologian, who has denied any sexual relations with two of his accusers, is contradicted by an IT expert who examined his phone and computer which were handed on Monday to the magistrates, according to a source close to the file.
