(Hill) Rep. Mark Pocan (D-Wis.) and Donald Trump Jr. on Sunday sparred over Rep. Keith Ellison’s (D-Minn.) association with Louis Farrakhan.
“Is it that he’s black or that he’s Muslim that makes you hate/fear him so much?” Pocan asked Trump Jr. on Twitter after he posted a February report from the Daily Caller that Reps. Ellison, André Carson (D-Ind.) and Gregory Meeks (D-N.Y.) met with Farrakhan in 2013.
A spokesman for Pocan, Ron Boehmer, told the Hill that the congressman was referring to Ellison.
Ellison was featured in the photo of the article Trump retweeted, however Trump referred specifically to Farrakhan in the initial tweet.
