Grand jury indicts NM compound defendants on federal charges Defendants had allegedly established 'training ground' to prepare for 'violent attacks'

(Taos News) A grand jury in Albuquerque indicted Jany Leveille, 35, Siraj Ibn Wahhaj, 40, Hujrah Wahhaj, 37, [Subhanah] Wahhaj, 35, and Lucas Morton, 40, on federal charges Tuesday (Sept. 11), according to an announcement from U.S. Attorney John C. Anderson and Special Agent in Charge James C. Langenberg of the FBI’s Albuquerque Division.

Leveille, a Haitian immigrant living in the United States without documentation, was indicted for transporting firearms and ammunition from Georgia to northern New Mexico in December 2017.

The other defendants are accused of aiding Leveille in committing the crimes.
